Deciding to sign up for Medicare Part B
This is an issue I deal with constantly. Most people should enroll in Medicare Part B, while some will automatically be enrolled. The penalty for not Having Part B, if you or a spouse do not have employer provided insurance is huge. ENROLLING In Medicare Part B is required in order to also enroll in either a Medicare Supplement Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C). Some may find that getting Part B with a Medicare Advantage Plan is still a better value than their employer coverage. Rules for re-enrolling in Medicare Part B after opting out are very strict, so it’s not advised for most. We can help with the details and comparisons. We can also HELP determine the most appropriate additional coverage to further reduce costs for prescription drugs and medical expenses, while also adding additional benefits. That’s a big part of what we do.
