Medicare Supplement Plan A is also referred to as Medigap Plan A. This plan is sometimes overlooked because it has fewer benefits than other Medigap insurance plans. So what does Medicare Plan A cover? It still covers the most important benefit, which is the 20% of outpatient medical care that Medicare doesn’t cover.

  • Medicare Part B coinsurance or copyament

  • Blood (first 3 pints)

  • Hospice care coinsurance or copayment

  • Skilled Nursing Facility Care coinsurance

  • Medicare Part B deductible

  • Medicare Part B excess charges

  • Foreign Travel Emergency (up to plan limits)
